Felix Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: JP Tower Nagoya 15F, 1-1-1 Meieki, Nakamura-ku, Nagoya, Aichi, Representative Director: Hidenori Mizuno) announces that it has obtained a patent for its new construction method “FELIX Method 7.0 (Seven Zero)” in its industrialized timber construction business.

Making the previously “impossible” possible

This patent does not cover mere building materials or components; it targets the building process itself.

The patent scope covers the entire integrated construction process — floor panels, wall panel units, reference posts, factory manufacturing processes, and on-site assembly processes.

What is "FELIX Method 7.0 (Seven Zero)"

"FELIX Method 7.0 (Seven Zero)" is our proprietary industrialized timber construction technology in which major components — including wall and floor panels pre-fitted with window frames, fixtures, exterior siding, insulation, gypsum board, and electrical conduits, as well as stair units, balconies, floor bases, units, and suspended ceilings — are all manufactured in the factory and delivered as a single shipment to the construction site.

By completing approximately 70% of the housing construction process in the factory, on-site work is greatly simplified, delivering shorter construction periods, quality standardization, reduced dependence on skilled craftsmen, lower construction noise, and reduced logistics burden.

This is expected to help address structural issues in the construction industry such as schedule delays, shortages of skilled workers, construction noise complaints, and rising logistics costs.

The uniqueness of integrating the entire building process into a single method led to the acquisition of this patent.

Main effects expected from "FELIX Method 7.0 (Seven Zero)"

70% Reduction in Construction Time

Significant shortening of the period from framing to exterior and flooring work for detached houses. Delays caused by adverse weather are reduced, improving speed to completion.

70% Reduction in On-Site Supervisor Workload

On-site tasks such as schedule management, craftsman coordination, quality checks, and materials handling are greatly reduced; the workload of site supervisors can be reduced by up to 70% compared to conventional methods.

70% Reduction in Construction Noise

Because approximately 70% of the construction process is completed within the factory in advance, on-site construction noise is reduced, thereby lowering the noise issues associated with construction.

70% Reduction in On-Site Man-Hours

About 70% of the construction processes required for homebuilding are completed in the factory. Accordingly, man-hour reductions at housing construction sites become possible, leading to cost savings and improved production performance.

Significant Reduction in Delivery and Service Vehicles

The frequency and duration of work-related vehicle movements are reduced. As a result, environmental burdens such as traffic noise, vibration, and exhaust emissions can be suppressed, protecting the living environment of nearby residents.

Background of Patent Acquisition — Rebuilding the Construction Process by Moving Production to Factories

The construction industry has long pursued efficiency through factory production and prefabrication. Felix, however, did not stop at merely producing components in factories; by organically integrating floor panels, wall panels, stair units, reference posts, factory manufacturing workflows, and on-site assembly workflows, the company has enabled a high level of coordination between factory production and on-site construction and established a new construction model: "built in the factory, assembled on site."

The design of the entire building process that integrates multiple elements, and the unique manufacturing, logistics, and on-site construction system using factories to realize it, were recognized by the Patent Office as having novelty and inventive step, leading to this patent registration.

Patent No. 7856335 Title of Invention: Construction method for buildings using framed wall construction Patent Owner: Felix Co., Ltd. Inventor: Satoshi Inagaki Application No.: JP 2024-114913 Filing Date: July 18, 2024 Registration Date: April 27, 2026

Future Outlook

With a two-headquarters structure in Nagoya and Tokyo, and production bases including three plants in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture (Fuji No.1, No.2, and Development Plant) and a production base in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture (Tokoname Plant), the company’s stable supply system to various regions becomes more robust.

We will cultivate the Tokoname plant as the mother plant for "FELIX Method 7.0 (Seven Zero)," and aim to establish the industrialized timber construction philosophy and technology as a new standard in Japan’s construction industry by collaborating with builders, trading companies, and national partners.

We also plan to accelerate the spread of "FELIX Method 7.0 (Seven Zero)" through collaborations with various companies and businesses. By spreading the philosophy and technology of industrialized timber construction across the industry, we will contribute to solving structural issues in the construction industry.

Furthermore, we intend to continue contributing to job creation and the local economy in Tokoname City.

Comment from Representative Director Hidenori Mizuno

▲ Representative Director and President Hidenori Mizuno

The construction industry faces serious challenges such as shortages of skilled craftsmen, longer construction periods, and rising logistics costs.

Felix has confronted these problems directly and pursued fundamental solutions. The answer is "FELIX Method 7.0 (Seven Zero)." The industry has entered an era in which we must change not only how buildings are constructed but also workstyles, costs, environmental burdens, and quality. Through "FELIX Method 7.0 (Seven Zero)," we will continue to challenge and redefine the industry’s conventional thinking.

About Felix Co., Ltd.

Felix is an apartment and house manufacturer that provides a vertically integrated service from land acquisition, architectural and structural design, timber procurement, 2×4 precut manufacturing, to apartment construction, sales, and rental management while also promoting industrialized timber construction business.

Close collaboration among departments has built a system that can provide "planning, design, manufacturing, construction, and management" as a one-stop service. This is the company’s greatest strength. Founded in October 2008 from cleaning and renovation services, the company adopted its current trade name in 2018 and entered the investment-oriented new apartment business in earnest.

In 2025, Felix achieved the No.1 position in annual completions of investment-oriented new apartments in the Tokai area.

In addition to the investment apartment business, the company has obtained a patent for its original technology "FELIX Method 7.0 (Seven Zero)" in the industrialized timber construction field.

Felix is expanding an innovative business model to realize "construction and real estate reform" from Japan to the world.

Continuing to create new value without being constrained by convention — that is the future Felix aims for.
