Katsuura, Chiba's 'Zen x Sauna' Project Surpasses 1 Million Yen in Crowdfunding!

feelnature campbase, a campsite located in Katsuura City, Chiba Prefecture, is currently running a crowdfunding campaign to build a completely private outdoor sauna with a 'Zen' concept, named 'SAUNA "Satori" ~SATORI~' (scheduled for completion in July 2026). The campaign has recently surpassed a total of 1 million yen in donations, with over 95 supporters. This crowdfunding campaign is scheduled to run until March 31, 2026.

Additionally, one of the major features of this project, a Japanese garden supervised by gardener Mr. Ryoichi Kanai (who appeared on the TV program 'Dramatic Makeover!! Gekiteki Before After'), has been completed.

This garden has been designed as an outdoor relaxation space after sauna use, incorporating traditional Japanese garden elements such as a bamboo water spout (kakei), a tsukubai (water basin), a stone lantern, an extended stepping stone path (endans), and stepping stones.

Mr. Kanai emphasizes harmony with nature in his garden designs, utilizing existing terrain and materials. In this garden as well, by incorporating the stones and plants found on-site, an outdoor relaxation space has been created that blends seamlessly into the landscape, as if it had always been there.

The aim is to provide a deeply relaxing experience, unattainable in urban settings, by allowing guests to rest their bodies, warmed by the sauna, amidst the natural breeze and the tranquil scenery of the garden.
