Nankinmachi to Hold "14th Nankinmachi Dragon Boat Festival ~ Zongzi Fair ~" Selling 13 Types of Zongzi from 11 Stores

The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival celebrated on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month, considered one of the three major Chinese festivals alongside the Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.

Nankinmachi will host the "Zongzi Fair" for 10 days starting June 19th, coinciding with this year's Dragon Boat Festival, to promote the appeal of zongzi, an auspicious food believed to ward off evil and promote health and longevity. This year, compared to the previous year, 5 new stores have been added, bringing the total to 11 participating stores selling 13 types of zongzi. Additionally, a Chinese lion dance performance by the Kobe Chinese Association School Dance Lion Team will be held at Nankinmachi Plaza on June 20th.
