The Financial Data Utilization Promotion Association (FDUA) has launched the "Generative AI Subcommittee" as part of the activities of its Anti-Fraud and Crime Working Group (WG). This subcommittee aims to collaboratively discuss and co-create countermeasures against digital fraud, including phishing scams, across the industry, and has begun initiatives to accompany member companies.

According to the monthly report by the Anti-Phishing Council, the number of phishing reports in November 2025 was 197,228, remaining at a high level. Numerous brands are being exploited, and the situation continues to affect user trust and experience.※1
Furthermore, financial authorities continue to issue warnings about unauthorized access and fraudulent transactions resulting from authentication information stolen through phishing sites.※2

In recent years, it has been pointed out that attackers are also making their methods more sophisticated by utilizing generative AI. On the other hand, for defenders, generative AI has the potential to accelerate efforts such as idea generation, prototyping, and educational awareness, thereby lowering the barrier to implementation.
