Player Nozawa's Comments
"I have decided to transfer on a temporary loan to Jubilo Iwata.
First, thank you for calling my name every match and pushing me forward.
I am truly sorry that I could not live up to those expectations.
To the manager, coaches, and staff who gave me many opportunities and trusted and continued to use me.
Of course, I am frustrated that I could not deliver results to the fans and supporters.
With my current abilities, I cannot confidently say 'I am a member of this team,' and I have come to this decision thinking that I need to become a player who can meet expectations at all times by improving my skills and producing results.
Because I have been in Tokyo for a long time, and because I want them to win the championship next season, there is something I want to convey.
The fans and supporters always love Tokyo, support Tokyo, and cheer for Tokyo. The players feel that very strongly. I am truly grateful to all of you who deliver passionate cheers through good times and bad.
However, players are also human. Of course, there are times when criticism and opinions about unsatisfactory play must be accepted. I understand that the cause lies in our own play, and I have always felt truly sorry about that.
However, excessive comments and slander against individuals or those around them do not help the players and can lead to the collapse of the entire club.
I have seen many words directed at players, not just myself.
I do not believe all criticism is bad.
However, FC Tokyo is the club of Japan's capital and a team that should be loved strongly.
FC Tokyo is only complete when the players and you all become one, and I believe this is that kind of place.
While the ideal image of a club worthy of winning the championship may differ from person to person, the destination we are aiming for should be the same. There will be times when you want to complain, both in good times and bad. However, it is precisely at those times that you should support the players and the club.
Only you can do that.
Only you can inspire the players and bring out more than 100% of their effort.
I know that what I am saying is presumptuous, and I am aware that it may be rude, but I am conveying it with that understanding. Some may feel this is just empty talk, but I believe in all of you and in this club. Thank you very much.
I will become strong and resilient for those who support me.
I'm off."
