Cleaning Activity Held at Nara Park Based on Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement with Nara Prefecture

Fast Fitness Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kohei Inoue; hereinafter "the Company"), the master franchisee for the 24/7 fitness gym brand "ANYTIME FITNESS" in Japan, conducted a cleaning activity at Nara Park on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the General Foundation "Nara Deer Preservation Association" (hereinafter "the Association") as part of environmental conservation efforts under the comprehensive collaboration agreement signed with Nara Prefecture in July 2024.

This activity was planned in response to recent incidents where deer believed to have migrated from the Nara area were spotted in Osaka’s urban districts, serving as an opportunity to reconsider the protection of deer habitats and human-wildlife coexistence. Contributing to the preservation of the world-renowned Nara Park and maintaining the local landscape directly prevents health risks to deer caused by ingesting litter and helps sustain a healthy natural habitat. As Nara’s deer are a symbol of the region and a nationally designated Special Natural Monument, the Company will continue contributing to solving regional challenges through environmental conservation for future generations.

Prior to the cleanup, a special lecture titled "Learning in Nara! A Special Lecture on the True Nature of Deer" was held at the Deer Park with cooperation from the Association. A total of 19 participants, including company employees and franchisees from within the prefecture, deepened their understanding of deer ecology and current conservation efforts before engaging in the cleanup. As a result, 3.5kg of waste, primarily small plastic fragments and packaging materials that could harm deer, were collected.

Furthermore, Fast Fitness Japan and Nara Prefecture are strengthening collaboration not only in environmental conservation but also in promoting citizens’ health. In fiscal year 2026, physical fitness assessments will be conducted at selected local gyms for members, and the collected data will be provided to the prefecture to support its ongoing physical fitness and motor ability surveys.

Moving forward, the Company will continue advancing initiatives that support the region’s rich natural environment and the healthy future of its residents, in pursuit of its purpose: "Bringing Healthy Places to All People."

About the Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement between Nara Prefecture and Fast Fitness Japan

On July 11, 2024, Nara Prefecture and the Company signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement to cooperate in multiple fields, including sports promotion and health enhancement.
