Quantum Technology Innovation Council and New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization to Sponsor "Quantum Computing EXPO"

RX Japan Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Executive Officer & President: Takeshi Tanaka) is pleased to announce that the General Incorporated Association Quantum Technology Innovation Council (Commonly known as Q-STAR) (Secretariat: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Taro Shimada) and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (Commonly known as NEDO) (Headquarters: Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa, President & CEO: Tamotsu Saito) will participate as supporting organizations for the "6th Quantum Computing EXPO [Spring]" (hereinafter referred to as "this exhibition"), to be held at Tokyo Big Sight in April 2026.

This exhibition is the only* specialized exhibition for quantum computers in Japan, held as part of NexTech Week 2026 [Spring]. It offers a comprehensive comparison and review of the "now" of quantum computing technology, from the latest research to applications, implementation support, and human resource development. Held concurrently with other exhibitions within NexTech Week (AI/Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Humanoid Robots, Human Resource/Organizational Reform for the AI Era), it allows for cross-sectional comparison of related cutting-edge technologies, creating opportunities for concrete business negotiations and collaborations.

Quantum computing is steadily progressing from basic research to the demonstration and application stages for social implementation. Use cases directly linked to business value are becoming concrete, including exploration of new materials and drug discovery, combinatorial optimization (logistics, personnel allocation, etc.), cryptography/security, and quantum x AI (quantum machine learning). Consequently, the surrounding ecosystem, such as cloud utilization, implementation support, and human resource development, is also expanding, providing more options for companies to test small-scale applications and gradually expand their areas of use. On the other hand, for its expansion as an industry, it is crucial to broaden the base of human resources, promote literacy, and advance international collaboration and standardization. Collaboration within the ecosystem, including industry, academia, government, and startups, is key.

With the participation of Q-STAR, which leads the creation of industry-academia-government collaboration frameworks, standardization, and human resource development, and NEDO, which supports the promotion of research and development, demonstration, and social implementation, the value of this exhibition, where visitors, exhibitors, and research institutions gather, will be further enhanced, contributing to the acceleration of social implementation and industrialization of quantum technology.
