NTT Docomo Studio & Live, Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Satoshi Kobayashi) will host "OTO MART," an interactive exhibition featuring a collection of various "sounds" from around the world, for a limited time in Shibuya, Tokyo, starting Wednesday, April 29, 2026 (National Holiday). Tickets for the exhibition go on sale today, Friday, March 27.
This event is part of "Sound Grounds," a joint project with CHOCOLATE Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yusuke Watanabe). Based on the concept of a "supermarket of sound," the exhibition features over 500 types of sounds collected from across the globe, ranging from giraffe calls and saxophone notes to everyday ambient sounds.
Visitors can freely play and combine these sounds to discover and enjoy their own unique "good sounds." Furthermore, all sounds can be layered on the spot to "compose" music, with over 9.99 quadrillion possible combinations. Visitors can even take home their completed original sound creations.
The exhibition is planned and produced by CHOCOLATE Inc., known for creating numerous interactive experiences such as "Ano Shokuinshitsu" (That Staff Room).
