FANCL President Hideki Mitsuhashi's Address to New Employees

FANCL Corporation held its entrance ceremony on April 1, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM. President and Representative Director Hideki Mitsuhashi delivered the following address to 85 new group employees.

Congratulations to all of you on joining the company. This is also a wonderful day for your families who have supported you, and I offer them my heartiest congratulations as well.

I hope you will never forget to be grateful to many people, including your families and the teachers who guided you. It is because of their support that you stand here today, embarking on your life as a professional member of society.

From today, you are part of FANCL, taking a new step forward. This moment is the result of your hard work and enthusiasm, and we are all proud of you. We welcome you from the bottom of our hearts and look forward to building the future together as colleagues.

<FV2035 Launch: Becoming the Protagonists of a New History> 2026 is a very important year for FANCL. This is because it is the first year of our long-term management vision, 'FANCL Vision 2035 (FV2035),' which we recently announced. FV2035 is a long-term vision that depicts what we want FANCL to be 10 years from now. You, who have joined us in this milestone year, are precious colleagues who will carve a new history with FANCL and the protagonists who will create the future.

Since its founding, FANCL has walked under the philosophy of 'eliminating the negative (Fu) in the world with a sense of justice.' This philosophy was born from founder Kenji Ikemori's desire to eliminate 'anxieties, inconveniences, and dissatisfactions' in the world. With this desire as our starting point, FANCL has created new markets and values that never existed before.

In FV2035, we aim to become the most trusted brand that eliminates 'Fu' in beauty and health and to become the fastest-growing brand marketing company. One of these initiatives is 'FANCL SKIN PATCH.' This is an effort for customers to know the true state of their skin and choose care that better suits them, and a measure to make customers feel that FANCL is the most trusted brand. Furthermore, a brand marketing company means a company where all employees become creators of the brand experience. We aim to be a company where each employee's judgment and actions lead to high-quality brand experiences for customers, which in turn continues to enhance brand value. FV2035 is not a strategy to be executed by only a few departments. It is a strategy to be executed by all employees, including you who joined us today. I hope you will all contribute to enhancing brand value as members who create the FANCL brand experience.

Furthermore, FANCL became a member of the Kirin Group at the end of the year before last. In Kirin Group's long-term vision, FANCL is expected to grow significantly as a core company in the health science business. While maintaining FANCL's strengths and corporate culture based on the founding philosophy, we want to grow into a brand loved worldwide by utilizing Kirin Group's assets such as marketing expertise, R&D capabilities, and overseas networks.

<New Employees: Just Keep Challenging> There is one thing I would like to ask of you.

Please just keep challenging yourselves.

To challenge yourself, you must be proactive. Challenges are not born as long as you work passively. Please have your own opinions and take on your work proactively. At FANCL, new businesses and products have always been born from the ideas and challenges of young employees. I look forward to your new perspectives and proposals creating FANCL's growth in the future. Of course, if there is anything you don't understand, feel free to ask those around you. Asking questions is not embarrassing; it is the first step in learning. By having your own opinions and communicating them, you will lead not only to your own growth but also to the growth of the team.

There is a phrase I cherish: 'Keep Moving Forward' It means to keep moving forward while constantly evolving yourself. In your future career, you will face difficulties and challenges. In those moments, keep challenging yourself and move forward while evolving. I believe this will lead to your growth and, ultimately, to the development of FANCL.
