Famione Inc. and AstraZeneca K.K. co-hosted an online gynecological cancer awareness seminar titled "Learn and Prepare: Women's Cancer and Career" on April 9, designated as "Cervix Day." The seminar was planned in response to a survey on gynecological cancer awareness and treatment behavior, conducted by the two companies, which revealed that 48% of respondents were interested in attending such a seminar. The event featured a lecture by Yuri Yoshida of the Cancer and Work Support Group, who spoke about balancing treatment and work based on her own experience with ovarian cancer. Following this, Dr. Mayu Onsenkawa from The Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR explained the fundamentals of gynecological cancers and the importance of early detection. The latter half included a cross-talk session with guests Anna Umemiya, a breast cancer survivor, and Yuko Nishimaru, an endometrial cancer survivor, who discussed their real-life experiences regarding careers after a cancer diagnosis and the necessity of early medical consultation. The event aimed to promote correct knowledge about gynecological cancers and encourage regular screenings.
