Famione's provision for Nagasaki Prefecture's 'Fertility LINE Support Project' confirmed to continue in FY2026 (Reiwa 8)

Nagasaki Prefecture is implementing various initiatives to raise children who will build the future of the prefecture. In Nagasaki Prefecture's 'Fertility LINE Support Project', Famione has been continuously providing the service since FY2021 (Reiwa 3). Taking on this project again in FY2026, we will bridge individuals to early medical consultation and treatment tailored to their circumstances, and strive to provide accompanying support that stays close to every single resident.

Furthermore, we aim to provide comprehensive support not only for fertility and infertility treatments but also for overall male and female healthcare to all residents across Nagasaki Prefecture's cities and towns. Beyond just providing a consultation service, we will work together with the prefecture to further strengthen our collaboration and cooperation. This includes examining optimal cooperative schemes with Nagasaki Prefecture and conducting awareness campaigns to deliver information to as many residents as possible.

The consultation content covers all worries related to fertility and infertility—such as infertility treatment, recurrent pregnancy loss, communication between couples, balancing infertility treatment with work, medical institution information, and specific methods for fertility activities. In addition, we provide support for overall healthcare, including menstrual concerns, consultations on partner communication, and menopausal worries.

Through this project again this fiscal year, we will provide support for both the mental and physical well-being of the people of Nagasaki Prefecture.

In Nagasaki Prefecture, as an initiative to support those struggling with fertility and infertility, we have been continuously implementing the Fertility LINE Consultation Project since FY2021, marking its 5th year in FY2026. Worries concerning fertility and infertility are extremely sensitive and difficult to confide even to close friends and family. This project provides an environment where residents can consult experts anonymously and for free (three times a year), allowing them to discuss their feelings and questions with peace of mind. We hope many people will utilize this service as a catalyst to take a positive step forward without keeping their worries to themselves. We will continue to engage in support that stays close to our residents.

■ Examples of Provision Results in FY2025 (Reiwa 7)

In FY2025, we held an online seminar on fertility and infertility treatment in December 2025 under the theme of 'Nutrition' and 'How to Interact with Your Partner', featuring a certified/clinical psychologist, a nurse/IVF coordinator, and a registered dietitian.

Numerous questions were received right from the pre-registration stage, indicating a high level of interest in the themes. On the day of the seminar, the progression emphasized two-way communication between the lecturers and participants, creating a lively atmosphere filled with constant comments and reactions.

In addition, a representative from Nagasaki Prefecture provided a detailed explanation of the subsidy system. The careful responses tailored to each participant's questions led to many highly satisfied voices after the event, such as 'The explanations were very polite' and 'I am glad I participated', and the seminar concluded with great success.
