The first session (held on September 30, 2025) was themed "Menopause isn't just 'from your 40s'!? Preparing now for future changes." Sayaka Toda, a certified public psychologist and clinical psychologist at FamiOne, lectured on the importance of "knowing and preparing" from one's 20s, regardless of gender, not just for the menopausal generation.

The second session (held on March 6, 2026) was themed "Early detection is key! Women's specific cancers, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids." Yayoi Tanimura, a nurse and certified psycho-oncology specialist, provided correct knowledge and raised awareness about the importance of early medical consultation from a specialized perspective. Sayaka Toda, a certified public psychologist and clinical psychologist, explained key points for balancing work and treatment. In addition, the Health Management Promotion Office of Nissin Foods HD's Human Resources Department shared specific information about internal systems and consultation services.

Prior to the seminars, a survey was conducted to gather questions for the instructors and challenges related to work-life balance, and the results were reflected in the lecture content to provide content tailored to participants' needs. For both themes, explanations were added from the perspective of those supporting individuals, not just those directly affected, making it a valuable opportunity to deepen company-wide understanding of health issues at various life stages.

Through the seminar initiative, we supported the improvement of employees' health literacy and promoted the creation of a workplace environment where they can support each other. Participants commented, "I was able to concretely imagine how to support someone who needs help around me." This contributed to fostering an organizational culture where each individual can view health issues as their own and work with peace of mind.

■Participant Feedback

・1st Session: 'Menopause isn't just "from your 40s"!? Preparing now for future changes'

"Although menopause is approaching, I had no concrete idea of what symptoms would appear, so it was very informative."

"I felt that knowing the information was meaningful. Although I don't have any subjective symptoms myself, I feel I can respond calmly if they occur in the future."

"I realized that menopause symptoms are not just about curing them, but also about learning to live with them, which lightened my mood."

・2nd Session: 'Early detection is key! Let's learn about "Women's specific cancers, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids"'

"The explanations were very thorough and easy to understand. I also realized again that illness is not someone else's problem and that there is a high possibility that I will also suffer from it someday."

"The explanations were very clear and helpful. Even things I vaguely understood about illnesses were explained in detail again. I felt that knowing that I can continue working while undergoing treatment for an illness can alleviate fear."

"The discussion about cases after being diagnosed with cancer was impressive. I hadn't really imagined treatment methods or balancing work when I got sick, so I'm glad I participated. I was also able to imagine how to support someone around me who actually gets sick."

■Initiatives with Nissin Foods Holdings Co., Ltd.

In 2023, FamiOne held a seminar on the theme of "menopause" for employees of the Nissin Foods Group. Furthermore, in 2025, e-learning videos for managers were provided. Through explanatory videos, managers learned the basics of three key themes they should be aware of. Focusing on appropriate responses and considerations in management, the videos were structured in a "short video format" with reduced time per video to allow busy managers to learn efficiently. This not only aimed to improve managers' health literacy but also supported the establishment of a foundation for creating a workplace where everyone can work with peace of mind by enhancing the quality of communication within the workplace.

■Comment from the Health Management Promotion Office, Human Resources Department, Nissin Foods Holdings Co., Ltd.

This seminar was conducted with the aim of providing employees with correct knowledge about male and female menopause and women's specific health issues. It was a very meaningful event that deepened understanding of those affected and encouraged consideration of how colleagues should face and support each other. By incorporating questions from participants collected in advance into the lecture content, we feel that each participant was able to view health issues as their own and concretely imagine the necessary considerations and support. It also provided an opportunity to deepen understanding of internal systems and consultation services, making it a valuable initiative for promoting mutual understanding within the workplace. We will continue to further promote the creation of an environment where everyone can work with peace of mind, supporting diverse life stages.
