FamilyMart Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Takeo Kotani) will celebrate its 45th anniversary in September 2026. Based on five keywords that have been continuously pursued, we will operate under the slogan "Ichiban Challenge." As part of our initiative to become "the most loved by the community," we are collaborating with all 47 prefectures and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Otsuka Pharmaceutical) to broadcast heatstroke prevention awareness videos unique to each local government on the in-store digital signage "FamilyMart TV" starting June 30, 2026 (Tue). Additionally, at "FamilyMart Kodomo Shokudo" (children's cafeterias) held in July and August, we will host awareness events for parents and children utilizing a heatstroke prevention awareness video that collaborates the anime "Cells at Work" with "Pocari Sweat."

Heatstroke Prevention at FamilyMart! Collaboration with Otsuka Pharmaceutical and Local Governments to Broadcast Awareness Videos on Over 10,000 Digital Signages Nationwide
FamilyMart is disseminating information in collaboration with Otsuka Pharmaceutical and each prefecture to coincide with the period when the risk of heatstroke increases. This year, we will broadcast unique awareness videos (15 seconds) for each prefecture on the digital signage "FamilyMart TV" installed in stores nationwide, issuing warnings about heatstroke through video and audio.
Furthermore, in stores without digital signage, we will also encourage awareness of heatstroke from the sales floor by displaying in-store show cards and other materials.

Events Using "Cells at Work" Videos and More to Be Held at "FamilyMart Kodomo Shokudo"
As a new community collaboration initiative, we will hold heatstroke prevention awareness events for parents and children at all "FamilyMart Kodomo Shokudo" locations in July and August 2026.

- Learning the Mechanism of Heatstroke Through Anime We will screen a collaborative video between the TV anime "Cells at Work" and "Pocari Sweat." Through the anime, we will provide an opportunity for children to learn about heatstroke prevention and the importance of hydration in a fun way. - Distribution of Summer Preparation Calendars We will distribute the booklet "Summer Preparation Calendar." This will convey the importance of "heat acclimatization" (gradually getting the body used to heat) in preparation for the heat and support heatstroke prevention measures at home.
- Original Fan Making We will hold a workshop to create your own "Heatstroke Prevention Fan." Through experiences such as applying event-exclusive stickers and drawing summer goals or illustrations, participants will increase their interest in heatstroke prevention while having fun.
First Collaboration with FamilyMart's App "FamiPay"
This year, in addition to the in-store digital signage "FamilyMart TV" and sales floors, we will also issue heatstroke warnings within FamilyMart's app "FamiPay."
We will deliver information that fits into customers' daily lives not only to those who visit our stores but also to customers who are not physically present, through "FamiPay."

To conduct awareness activities based on correct knowledge, FamilyMart encourages its employees and franchisees to take the "Heatstroke Prevention Ambassador" course* (Organizer: Otsuka Pharmaceutical, Special Cooperation: National Institute for Environmental Science, Supporters: Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism). By having staff with specialized knowledge respond appropriately, we will strengthen community watch activities.
* The "Heatstroke Prevention Ambassador" course is a course where participants can learn the specialized knowledge necessary for conducting heatstroke prevention awareness and dissemination activities. Upon completion of the course, participants are certified as "Heatstroke Prevention Ambassadors."
