■ Session Theme

Can Japan-originated Physical AI conquer the world? ~Scenario for Japan, the robotics superpower, to reclaim its leading role~
Physical AI, which understands the physical world and acts autonomously, is poised to transform the very nature of factories, workplaces, and living spaces. However, while dazzling demo videos go viral, a huge deployment gap still stands between them and the 99.9% reliability required in industrial settings.
This session will directly address whether Japan-originated robotics can once again become a global leader. Moderated by DGDV's Watanabe, an investor in Skild AI, the session brings together leading Japanese Physical AI startups with different approaches: Fairy Devices, Arumu, and Jizai. They will delve into the conditions for Physical AI that can win globally, from the perspectives of datafication of artisan skills, AI-centric factory design, and new embodied robots.

Where do Japan's strengths lie, and what is it lacking compared to the US and China, which are leading with strong entrepreneurial drive? What kind of robotics companies will be the next to go global? We will seek answers from the forefront of the business landscape.
