Washinmura: A 6-Room Glamping Village in the Satoyama of Futtsu, Chiba

A glamping village with 6 rooms, located in the satoyama of Futtsu, Chiba.

A 200-year-old traditional Japanese house and 15 rescue cats. Please enjoy a relaxing time with nature and animals.

How to spend the daytime

Climbing slopes carrying a traditional woven basket on your back, or exploring the forest. You can enjoy an authentic, old-fashioned "original experience" playing with your whole body.

How to spend the nighttime

Chatting slowly while watching the flames of a bonfire. Beside you, a cat has curled up and fallen asleep before you knew it. Such a day in the satoyama is a common sight at Washinmura.

About the Facility

Dotted around the premises are a nearly 200-year-old traditional house, a Nagayamon gatehouse, tents, and snow peak Jyubako mobile houses, where you live together with the following animals:

- 15 rescue cats - Goats - Dogs - A family of Ukokkei (Silkie) chickens

Regarding animal treats

Under the guidance of a veterinarian, to manage the physical condition of the cats, please refrain from bringing in commercially available treats. If you wish to give them treats, please purchase the carefully selected treats (additive-free, domestically sourced ingredients, etc.) sold at the Washinmura shop. *Sold in limited quantities.

Other Precautions

- Cats live freely on the premises. Please be careful if you have allergies. - Animals are whimsical, so we do not know which room they will visit. They are not guaranteed to come to you. - The cats and dogs at Washinmura have undergone spaying/neutering surgeries, and receive vaccines and tick prevention medication.
