The "TORYUMON 2026 Homura" startup festival for the U25 generation has established a new scholarship program, the "TORYUMON Scholarship," targeting U25 entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs residing in regional areas, and began accepting applications today. This program will support travel and accommodation expenses for the "TORYUMON TOKYO 2026 Homura" event held in Tokyo, and will also provide exclusive discussion sessions for scholarship students.

Outline of "TORYUMON Scholarship 2026 Homura" (Planned)

Application Period: April 29, 2026 (Wednesday) to May 31, 2026 (Saturday) 23:59

Eligibility: U25 entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs (Excludes residents of Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, and Saitama Prefectures.)

Support Content: Round-trip domestic travel expenses, accommodation for one night from June 27-28 (with a cap)

Number of Applicants: Maximum 10 people (selection by document review)

Reason for Implementing the TORYUMON Scholarship

Tokyo has a high concentration of knowledge, networks, and opportunities necessary for challenges. On the other hand, regional areas, while having the strength of utilizing their unique local resources, face a structural challenge where it is difficult to easily meet role model senior entrepreneurs or peers who share the same aspirations. For the U25 generation, this disparity in information and community is a major barrier to taking the first step towards a challenge.

TORYUMON aims to address this asymmetry between Tokyo and regional areas and to support, as a system not relying on individual effort, the flow of young people from regional areas taking what they learn in Tokyo back to their hometowns and growing businesses within their communities.

What the TORYUMON Scholarship Aims For

This program is not just an invitation to an event. It is a place to learn know-how for challenging from regional areas, and at the same time, it aims to form a long-term community where participants encourage each other and support each other's challenges in the future.

For young people in regional areas who are hesitant to take the plunge, this program aims to be a "TORYUMON" (gateway) to entrepreneurship and challenges. And for the connections born here to grow into a new trend that creates Japan's future from regional areas. Through this program, we aim to realize these goals.
