GREEN×EXPO 2027: Preparing the Future Agricultural Landscape with Local Producers and JA - 'Aizawa River' Rice Planting Ceremony Held

JA Group Kanagawa and the 2027 International Horticultural Expo Association gathered at the 'Aizawa River,' a symbolic location for the expo, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, alongside Yokohama city officials to hold the GREEN×EXPO 2027 'Aizawa River' Rice Planting Ceremony. This ceremony was organized as a kickoff event to strengthen unity among stakeholders for the success of the expo, initiated by JA Group Kanagawa, which supports the cultivation management of the outdoor exhibition area. During the ceremony, representatives from participating organizations delivered speeches, and JA Yokohama cooperative members responsible for daily cultivation were introduced and encouraged. The event concluded with the planting of test rice seedlings in preparation for next year's exhibition. Moving forward, JA Group Kanagawa and the GREEN×EXPO Association will continue to work with the City of Yokohama to prepare for showcasing a realistic, future-oriented agricultural landscape to visitors during the expo.
