ANA Cargo has been working to automate cargo handling between warehouses at Narita International Airport, realizing unmanned transport with Level 4 autonomous driving, the first of its kind for an airline cargo warehouse at a domestic airport. For the transport operations that routinely occur between the 7th and 8th cargo buildings, there was a need to establish a system that could maintain stable logistics operations even with limited personnel, driven by the increase in cargo handling volume and labor shortages.

In response to these challenges, they introduced the automated transport service "eve auto®," which can safely operate in outdoor airport environments. eve autonomy provides "eve auto®," a solution that enables the introduction of automated transport systems primarily for outdoor use in factories and logistics facilities without the need for prior facility construction. Outdoor environments require operation under more stringent conditions than indoors, including road conditions such as steps and slopes, as well as weather conditions like rain and sunlight.

Leveraging EV carts widely used nationwide for their high reliability and cutting-edge autonomous driving technology also utilized on public roads, "eve auto®" achieves unmanned transport operations at Level 4 autonomous driving in outdoor environments within factory premises, even in rain or at night, making it possible to operate in facilities requiring 24-hour operation. Currently, approximately 60 units are in operation at about 60 locations nationwide.
