Amidst a global trend of evaluating corporate value based on the positive impact companies have on people and the planet in response to increasingly diverse and complex social issues, there is a growing movement to visualize the outcomes companies generate to fulfill their accountability to society.
Since its founding in 2005, Eucalia has spent approximately 20 years engaging with the front lines of medical and nursing care. Under the mission of "Realizing the ideal state of medical and nursing care through transformation," we have been working to solve social issues by developing a wide range of businesses within the healthcare value chain, including hospital management support, senior facility operations, nursing care facility referrals, promotion of medical DX, and utilization of medical big data. Since 2023, we have been practicing Impact Measurement and Management (IMM*) using impact investment evaluation methods.
The "Impact Report 2026" features our vision and mission, a dialogue between Eucalia's President and CEO Misawa and Professor Mikiharu Noma of Hitotsubashi University Graduate School, and logic models for maximizing social impact. It also includes firsthand accounts from the heads of our Healthcare Business Division and representatives of group companies that joined the Eucalia Group in 2025, as well as a summary of 2025 topics.
* IMM: Impact Measurement and Management. In impact investing, it is the process of setting goals (impact) for solving social and environmental problems, developing strategies to achieve those goals, and managing and evaluating operations. In implementing IMM, we refer to the "Guidance for Information Disclosure and Dialogue in Capital Markets for Impact Companies, 1st Edition" (2024) by the GSG National Advisory Board Impact IPO Working Group.
