## Implementation Case Study Interview *Excerpt
### Challenges felt in operations prior to implementation
The Finance Group of Kagoshima Bank's Regional Support Department handles a wide range of finance operations with a small number of staff, including real estate finance involving non-recourse loans, as well as renewable energy projects, LBO loans, business investments, and LP investments. While it is a characteristic of regional banks to adopt a flexible, project-based structure rather than assigning dedicated real estate personnel, there were difficulties in handling real estate projects with limited staff.
In particular, for real estate projects, there are many cases in urban areas like Tokyo and Osaka due to liquidity considerations. Although we focus primarily on projects in Kyushu, the limited number of cases there puts a cap on our knowledge acquisition. While we can verify the certainty of Kyushu-area projects to some extent based on our proprietary information, such as past transaction records and branch networks, urban projects require a lot of information from the initial stages—such as surveying competing properties, checking rent levels, and grasping overall market trends. Before implementation, we had to pick up necessary information one by one while individually checking rental information online, which took considerable time and effort. Additionally, fragmentary information from the internet was sometimes insufficient.

### Reasons for choosing estie's service
One major background factor is personnel constraints. The Finance Group operates with a team of about 10 people, and we needed to consider multiple projects in parallel. Therefore, we determined that it would be a worthwhile investment if it could improve the situation where a lot of time was spent on research and information gathering.
Also, estie's service aggregates real estate data from multiple sources, which appealed to us because it allows us to look at the market as a whole rather than searching for information piece by piece. Being able to grasp information with the same perspective not only for the Kyushu area but also for urban real estate markets like Tokyo and Osaka provided great peace of mind when considering projects outside our region.
Furthermore, even when staff who do not specialize in real estate are involved in a project, the ability to explain things based on quantitative data was important.
