Juri is a girl who always thinks, "There's nothing interesting going on."
Her mother is busy and away at night, and every time Juri thinks, "This is boring," a swirling, tangled feeling grows inside her heart.
One night, a star shining outside her window falls into an old picture book in Juri's room. The "tangled" feeling inside her heart drags her into the picture book and into a pitch-black path. It is a strange, space-like world where colorful fish swim in the sky and stars wear dresses and spin around.
The "tangled" feeling transforms into a quirky alien born from Juri's heart, and the two set off on a journey to find Juri's "star." Through encounters with mysterious creatures representing "boredom," "fear," "surprise," "sadness," "fun," and "joy," Juri discovers various "stars of the heart" and collects them to create a huge, beautiful bouquet.
Returning to her original world, Juri gently places the bouquet of feelings into the hands of her tired mother sleeping on the sofa and begins to tell her about her journey through space. "I am interesting, and the world is interesting too!"
