Eqbo Inc. (Headquarters: Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director: Mihiro Shimizu) recently conducted and succeeded in a basic demonstration experiment of wireless power transmission over a distance of several meters, inspired by the wireless power transmission (World System) method envisioned by Nikola Tesla.

Regarding Tesla technology, as its inheriting company, we have developed a standard model aimed at observing and understanding aerial electromagnetic phenomena, and have disclosed technical knowledge including its manufacturing methods. In addition, we have established a 'Technology Inheritance Course' based on the know-how gained through these research and technological developments.

With the results of this experiment as a catalyst, the Eqbo Group declares itself as the inheriting company of Tesla technology, and will further advance the reproduction and improvement of this technological system, as well as the disclosure of its knowledge.

■ Initiatives as an Inheritor of Tesla Technology

Since its founding in 2000, the Eqbo Group has continuously researched Tesla technology, working on its reproduction and improvement.

1) Development of a Tesla Coil for Observing Aerial Electromagnetic Phenomena (Standard Model)
We have developed a standard model aimed at observing and understanding aerial electromagnetic phenomena, famously known as Tesla technology, and have disclosed technical knowledge including its manufacturing methods. This technology forms one of the foundations of the Eqbo Group's Tesla technology.

2) Technology Inheritance Course
This is a course where participants can experience the knowledge and know-how gained through the research and development of Tesla technology through actual experiments. It is a special course where participants can grasp the fundamental image of the principles by assembling and operating a simple experimental device kit themselves. It was planned and established to easily convey the principles even to the general public who are not experts in science or technology, and is limited to members of the Eqbo Group's Hiroko Foundation. link => Hiroko Foundation Website

■ Regarding the Basic Demonstration of Wireless Power Transmission (World System)

1) Technology Overview
We manufactured a power transmission coil and a power reception coil using Tesla coils, placed them 1.5 meters apart, and upon lighting a light bulb connected to the receiving coil, we confirmed that 10 watts of power was wirelessly transmitted from the transmitting coil.

2) On the Potential Application of the Technology
In recent years, with the proliferation of IoT devices, the expansion of distributed energy utilization, and the spread of electric vehicles, interest in contactless power supply technologies is increasing. However, on the other hand, existing wireless power transmission technologies have limitations in terms of distance, efficiency, and applicable environments.

Under these circumstances, there is a demand for a re-examination of power transmission technologies from a different perspective than before, and this wireless power transmission technology is expected to be utilized as a novel power transmission technology.

For example,
- Foundational technology for smart factories and automation => Power supply for robot cells, automated guided vehicles, etc. (No charging required)
- Safety improvement (by eliminating cables) => Power supply for equipment in food factories, clean rooms, operating rooms, etc.
- Power supply for transport pods driving automatically on the Automated Logistics Road being developed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. link => Automated Logistics Road Website

■ Future Initiatives

As the inheriting company of Tesla technology, the Eqbo Group will deepen its technological verification and research, advance the reproduction and improvement of the technological system, and strive to disclose the knowledge gained thereby.

Furthermore, we welcome information exchange and opinion exchange with researchers and engineers interested in this field.
