Passing on Cafes and Bars as 'Modern Tea Rooms' to the Future
Epulor Corporation, which operates record cafe bars, views cafes and bars as a form of art, akin to modern tea rooms, where people can connect and foster ideas. They aim to carry on this culture, expressing aesthetics and philosophy through space, and pass it on to future creators of cafes and bars. With two locations in Tokyo, they strive to make these spaces enduring cultural hubs for reflection and sensory experience.

Our company endorses April Dream, an initiative to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release represents the dream of epulor corporation.
We view cafes and bars as a form of art, much like a tea room. We believe they are places that resonate with people's hearts, serve as venues for ideas, and are, in themselves, embodied ideas.
Just as tea masters once expressed their aesthetic sensibilities and philosophies through space, we aim to inherit that spirit in a contemporary form and connect our aspirations with those who will create future cafes and bars.
In March 2019, we opened 'epulor,' a record cafe bar, in Nakameguro, Tokyo. In June 2025, we opened our second location, 'epulor on the winding path,' in the Ebisu-Daikanyama area.

The two establishments offer distinct experiences through music and space. The new store's name, "on the winding path," signifies "in the middle of a winding road." Indeed, the store is located on the second floor, not directly visible from the street, on a winding path connecting Ebisu and Daikanyama.
Inside, a single curved counter is installed, and by using multiple materials such as Genkai stone from Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, and roughly finished concrete, we express a beauty that cannot be achieved through pure flatness. This space has become a part of our philosophy.
We believe that every cafe and bar embodies its own philosophy, as art and as culture.
Our dream is to ensure this culture is not fleeting but is passed on to the future. We hope that cafes and bars will continue to exist as places that deeply touch people's hearts and open up their thoughts and senses.
From different locations in Tokyo—Nakameguro and Ebisu-Daikanyama—we will connect this culture to the next generation.
A café or a bar can be a space of thought.
