Valuing the desire to work. Preparing for society in Osaka Umeda. Many young people feel anxious about entering society due to setbacks in school, difficulty maintaining jobs, or challenges in building workplace relationships. Enlab provides an environment that supports the 'foundation for staying employed,' helping individuals take steps toward society at their own pace. There is no need to rush into acquiring skills. We start by providing a calm, non-judgmental space where you can slowly organize your thoughts and current state. Through gentle communication with staff and the experience of spending time with others who share similar concerns, you will naturally deepen your 'self-understanding.' Previously, options for welfare services (independent living and life training) that serve as a 'pre-employment preparation period' have been limited in the heart of the Kansai region. To address this regional issue, Enlab Co., Ltd. will open 'Enlab College Osaka Umeda' on June 1, 2026, located in the Osaka Station Dai-2 Building (an 8-minute walk from Osaka Station). Ahead of the June opening, we are conducting free individual consultations for those who would like to learn more or see the atmosphere for themselves. Inside Enlab College

Background: Expanding options for 'pre-employment preparation' in Osaka City In Osaka City, there are over 180 'employment transition support' offices for those already prepared for job hunting (*1), meaning support for those 'ready to work' is well-established. However, there are only 43 'independent living (life training)' facilities in the entire city (*2) that focus on building the foundation for employment, such as 'establishing a daily rhythm' or 'slowly easing anxiety about interpersonal relationships.' This highlights a severe shortage of support options in such a large city. (*2 Number of facilities based on Osaka City's 'List of Disability Welfare Service Facilities in Osaka City' as of March 1, 2026)

Osaka City's '7th Disability Welfare Plan' also emphasizes the importance of 'creating safe spaces to address issues like social withdrawal' and 'providing support to establish daily rhythms, build friendships, and expand the scope of daily life' (*3). For those who find it difficult to go out, 'independent living (life training)' offers a vital first step toward social participation by allowing them to practice going out at their own pace and building a foundation for life while interacting with others, rather than aiming for 'employment' immediately.
