General Incorporated Association Anyone Project (Headquarters: Nerima-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yuki Kitsunezaki), an organization operated by three individuals with intractable diseases under the slogan 'A world where people with and without illnesses can live normally', has been selected as a grant recipient organization for Grant Project C of the grant program [KARADAKARA], which was co-launched by Nike and the Yomiuri Giants to support children, especially girls, in sports.
Utilizing this grant program, we will conduct a workshop combining storytelling, dialogue, and an inclusive yoga experience for elementary school (middle grades) to middle/high school students and their guardians, titled [Inclusive Yoga Experience starting from 'My body is fine', no need to compare or compete], led by an instructor who has experienced an intractable disease and holds a yoga teaching certification.
Because it is an entity that embodies the attitude of enjoying what one can do now even with an illness and living with one's own body, a yoga experience without comparison or competition is born.
Through storytelling and yoga, we will deliver the message to children that 'It is okay to be different from others' and 'Your own body is fine'.

About KARADAKARA
KARADAKARA is a grant program co-launched by Nike and the Yomiuri Giants.
Based on the belief that the skills necessary for the future are acquired 'from the body' (karada kara), they support sports organizations for children. Our wish is for children to be able to enjoy moving their bodies more. We will take action to be the entity that creates that first step.

Background of the Project
During our activities, we received feedback from a mother of a child with a serious illness who felt sad because her child was refused participation in physical activities due to considerations for their physical strength and health conditions caused by illness or disability, without any alternative plans being presented.
In addition, against the backdrop of frustration from physical education teachers who, despite trying to prioritize 'enjoyable activities', are unable to give sufficient consideration to each individual due to overwork, there is a recognized potential for new sports experiences where, even with 'differences', children can face their own minds and bodies and participate with peace of mind.
