Nippon Steel Engineering and Mizuho Toshiba Leasing to supply on-site energy to Ajinomoto Tokai Plant

Nippon Steel Engineering Co., Ltd. and Mizuho Toshiba Leasing Company, Limited have jointly won a contract for an on-site energy supply project at the Tokai Plant of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. With this project, cogeneration systems from these partners have now been installed at all three of Ajinomoto's domestic plants. The introduction of a high-efficiency gas turbine combined cogeneration system is expected to reduce CO2 emissions at the Tokai Plant by approximately 10%, supporting the Ajinomoto Group's 2030 goals of halving environmental impact and extending healthy life expectancy.
