Enerbank Inc. (CEO: Shoogo Sato; Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) has supported Nayoro City, Hokkaido (Mayor: Takeshi Kato), in selecting electricity retailers by implementing 'Eneoku,' a power procurement service for public facilities.

Nayoro City will start power procurement using 'Eneoku' for 19 public facilities starting April 2026. This initiative aims to reduce electricity costs and contribute to promoting Digital Transformation (DX) in administrative tasks, such as improving the efficiency of bidding and contracting processes.

- What is Eneoku? It is Japan's only free service that helps consumers optimize electricity charges using a reverse auction method for selecting new power providers. Retailers can bid multiple times while monitoring competitors' prices, encouraging lower unit costs. The service is free of charge, including the preparation of specifications and estimated price plans. It enables the simultaneous realization of DX and Green Transformation (GX) by allowing renewable energy conditions to be added.

- Support Provided to Nayoro City: 1. Organizing specifications and usage data, and conducting hearings for auction conditions (all free of charge). 2. Conducting the reverse auction via the 'Eneoku' platform (free of charge).

- Results of the Procurement Support: - Number of facilities: 19 (including elementary/junior high schools, municipal general hospital, cultural centers, etc.) - Auction Period: January 16, 2026 – January 27, 2026 - Number of Bidders: 8 companies (Total bids: 17) - Starting Price: 203,144,032 JPY (tax included) - Winning Bid: 164,466,893 JPY (tax included) - Annual Savings: 38,677,139 JPY (19% reduction)

- Comment from the Department in Charge: "Amidst a challenging fiscal situation, we achieved a reduction in power costs (approx. 38.68M JPY) and promoted DX in procurement operations. Additionally, as part of our efforts toward becoming a Zero Carbon City, we installed solar power systems in four facilities. We intend to continue these efforts in the coming fiscal year."
