Enerbank Inc. (CEO: Shogo Sato, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter: Enerbank) has supported Hirado City, Nagasaki Prefecture (Mayor: Yuji Matsuo) in selecting a retail electricity provider to switch the electricity used in its public facilities to 100% renewable energy. Hirado City utilized Enerbank's electricity reverse auction service, "Eneoku," to switch the electricity for one public facility to 100% renewable energy from April 2026. This is the first initiative in Nagasaki Prefecture to use "Eneoku" for public facility electricity procurement.

Enerbank and Hirado City will continue to strengthen their collaboration to reduce electricity procurement costs and promote decarbonization through the introduction of renewable energy using "Eneoku."

・What is Eneoku?

It is Japan's only free service that supports the optimization of electricity rates for consumers by adopting a reverse auction method* for selecting a new electricity supplier.

The bidding retail providers can re-bid multiple times while viewing other companies' prices, which encourages price reduction.

Eneoku is a free service, including the creation of specifications and draft budget prices. It allows for the addition of renewable energy conditions, enabling the simultaneous realization of DX and GX.

(*Reverse auction method: A procurement method called a "competitive bidding down system" where the buyer selects the seller in an auction format. Within a set period, bidders can make offers multiple times while checking other companies' prices in real-time.)
