eMotion Fleet to Present at Askul's "2nd Astsukuru PITCH CAMP" Event

This event was held with the aim of creating co-creation opportunities, driven by expectations for innovation utilizing Askul's assets. Leveraging its expertise in comprehensive commercial EV solutions integrating hardware, software, and services, eMotion Fleet proposed the provision of a "Mobility DX/GX Support Service for Small and Medium-sized Businesses" targeting Askul's strong customer base.

Background of the Proposal

While there is a growing demand for decarbonization across the entire supply chain (Scope 3 reduction), the logistics and transportation industry, which accounts for 98% of the sector and comprises small and medium-sized carriers (less than 100 vehicles), faces significant structural challenges. These include a lack of expertise and resources for EV adoption (GX) and vehicle management digitalization (DX) due to cost and operational complexities. To address this issue, we presented a collaborative model that combines Askul's customer base, which has numerous touchpoints with businesses and suppliers, with eMotion Fleet's comprehensive commercial EV fleet solutions. This model aims to alleviate the concerns of small and medium-sized businesses regarding economy and operational burden, thereby strongly supporting logistics DX/GX driven from the ground up.

Overview of the Proposed Mobility DX/GX Support Service

We envision a phased and seamless support system from implementation to operation, tailored to the customer's decarbonization stage and needs.

1. DX for Existing Vehicles By visualizing mileage, operational status, etc., we aim to improve operational efficiency and reduce fuel costs through the visualization and centralized management of vehicle data.

2. Data-Driven EV Introduction Support Based on the collected driving data, we simulate a realistic EV introduction plan suitable for the actual conditions of each base and support a phased transition.

3. Monthly Flat-Rate Service and Operation/Energy Management We offer a monthly flat-rate package that includes vehicles, charging equipment, and energy management, enabling EV operation at a cost lower than existing expenses. Our system (FMS/EMS), compatible with multiple vehicle types and chargers, centrally manages the optimization of operational costs and electricity consumption.

Future Plans

Since 2025, eMotion Fleet has been accumulating practical experience in long-term support for the introduction and operation of commercial EVs at ASKUL LOGIST Corporation, an Askul group company, as well as conducting driving analysis and charging infrastructure planning for existing vehicles of its partner companies (Scope 3).

Moving forward, based on the knowledge gained and pioneering examples from these initiatives, we aim to contribute to both the decarbonization and economic viability of the entire industry.
