emole Inc. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Naomichi Sawamura, hereinafter emole), which operates the short drama app "BUMP," will exclusively release the original short drama "Ruin's Champagne: A 40-Year-Old Housewife's Descent into Host Club Obsession" on BUMP from 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

This drama portrays a 40-year-old ordinary housewife who, feeling lonely and empty from being treated like she's "invisible" by her husband and son at home, discovers the exhilaration of being acknowledged for the first time on the stage of "pseudo-romance" with a host she coincidentally meets. It depicts her gradual descent into the night world as her sense of ethics becomes paralyzed. The stark visual contrast between her mundane home life, the glamorous host club, and the waiting room of the sex work establishment she sinks into is expressed with the fast-paced tempo and visual impact unique to short dramas. It's a realistic and thrilling immoral suspense that makes viewers think, "This could happen to me too."

A New Frontier for Acclaimed Actress Mao Miyaji, and a Love-Hate Drama with the Young Actors Who Drive Her Mad

The protagonist, Mariko Fujisaki, is played by Mao Miyaji, who continues to show a solid presence and acting ability in numerous dramas, movies, and plays, including her role as the heroine in the NHK morning drama "Manten." She embodies with overwhelming passion the transformation of a housewife who felt at her limit from days of being unneeded by anyone despite her devotion to her family, into a figure of insane obsession after being treated like a "Cinderella" by a single host.

The host, Ao Nanase, who perfectly mind-controls Mariko, is played by Rikiya Tomizono, a member of the dance & vocal group "UNiFY" and also active in "Kamen Rider Gotchard." He masterfully plays the mysterious role of a seemingly simple and intelligent young man who, behind the scenes, drains money from his targets, dragging not only Mariko but also the viewers into a bottomless swamp.

Furthermore, the role of Noa, Ao's top client and Mariko's rival in love, is played by Yuzuha Saeki, who is active in many fields, including as a reporter for TBS's "King's Brunch." She expresses not just a mean woman, but also her own suffering and conflicts with deep acting, stirring up more turmoil in the story.

A realistic and thrilling psychological battle that paralyzes one's sense of ethics, embodied with the full force of a unique cast. You can't take your eyes off the roller-coaster development that accelerates the path to ruin.
