What is Windsurfing/iQFOiL Class? Windsurfing, born in the USA in 1967, is a marine sport where a surfboard with a sail uses only wind power to glide across the water. Competitors race for speed by rounding marks (buoys) in a specified order and number of times. The iQFOiL class, a new sailing event for the Paris 2024 Olympics, features a hydrofoil attached to the board, allowing the board to float above the water at high speeds.
