ElephantStone Inc., a PRIDING COMPANY that creates pride for people, companies, and communities through video, has released a new branding movie to mark its 15th anniversary. The film applies the methodology of the company’s flagship service, ROOT, to ElephantStone itself. Music production was handled by Cornelius, the artist project of Keigo Oyamada, who is highly regarded in Japan and internationally. All ElephantStone employees took part in the planning, filming, and editing process. ElephantStone’s corporate slogan is “Katachizukuru, Migaku, Kagayakaseru. MAKE YOUR HEART SHINE.” The company has made it its mission to create “pride” for companies and people through video production. This branding movie embodies the philosophy of ROOT by involving not just a small project team, but every employee in every stage of the production process. ROOT is a branding method developed from ElephantStone’s long experience in video production. Rather than having a production company lead the entire process unilaterally, ROOT begins by uncovering a client’s values, organizational DNA, and strengths through interviews, surveys, and workshops using ElephantStone’s original board game, THE KACHINKO. Clients then participate in the video production process as members of the team. ROOT aims not only to produce a video, but also to help employees rediscover their company’s appeal and strengths, allowing pride to emerge throughout the organization. For this branding movie, ElephantStone applied ROOT’s workshop method to itself. All employees participated in THE KACHINKO, a board game for exploring values, and discussed what is needed for ElephantStone to embody its MVV: mission, values, and vision. Through keyword writing, voting, and discussion, recurring top keywords included “problem solving,” “unity,” “discovery,” “intellectual curiosity,” and “enjoyment.” These keywords reflected the company’s emphasis on solving client challenges, moving in the same direction as clients, discovering something through deep empathy, and valuing the production process itself. The branding movie was built around concepts extracted through THE KACHINKO, such as problem solving, unity, discovery, and enjoyment. The final concept was set as “Katachizukuru, Migaku, Kagayakaseru,” expressing moments in which clients and ElephantStone members face a project together as one team. The filming avoided excessive staging and instead focused carefully on what each shot was meant to communicate. The result condenses the thoughts of members with different roles, years of experience, and career backgrounds, balancing clarity with originality. The music for the movie was created by Cornelius, Keigo Oyamada’s solo project. Cornelius’s distinctive musical texture and sense of space enhance the expression and atmosphere of the work, resulting in a branding film unlike anything ElephantStone has made before. The company says that the overlap between its philosophy of “Katachizukuru, Migaku, Kagayakaseru” and Cornelius’s musical world allowed the film to carry a tactile sense of “pride” that cannot be fully conveyed through logic or words alone. Cornelius began as Keigo Oyamada’s solo project in 1993 and has released seven original albums to date. In addition to his own work, Oyamada is active across collaborations with artists in Japan and abroad, remixes, installations, and production. In his comment, Oyamada congratulated ElephantStone on its 15th anniversary and said he focused on sound design that would help the message stand out. CEO Kazutaka Tsurume said ElephantStone has long aspired to be a PRIDING COMPANY that creates pride for people and companies through video. Marking the company’s 15th anniversary, the film began with ElephantStone applying its flagship service ROOT to itself and having all employees uncover their values together. With music created by Keigo Oyamada of Cornelius, Tsurume felt that what the company has long valued gained a clearer shape. He hopes the film conveys ElephantStone’s feelings toward video creation. Since its founding, ElephantStone has focused on staying close to clients’ unformed ideas and becoming the partner they have long been searching for. Regardless of video genre or budget, the company aims to support clients in any situation and has produced videos for companies across a wide range of industries. In October 2023, it established its first overseas office, ElephantStone (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and in July 2025, it opened an Okinawa office, strengthening its ability to meet increasingly diverse needs. The company aims not only to create stylish videos, but also to work as a true partner with clients and generate the “pride” that lies beyond the finished video.
