The original "EGG MOUSE," released in 1988, symbolized Elecom's mice and has undergone two redesigns. This third iteration, based on the concept "For a beautiful everyday life," is designed not just as an input device but as an element that adds color to daily life, aiming for an aesthetic that makes users want to keep it by their side at all times.

Two dedicated soft shells (silicone covers) are included, which can be fitted over the main body. Users can enjoy changing the covers to match their usage scene, enhancing functionality and ensuring the product can be used and loved in various situations for a long time.

Furthermore, hands-on experience and advance reservations began today, June 30 (Tue), at Futako Tamagawa Tsutaya Electrics, and advance reservations are also available at the Elecom Direct Shop.

"EGG MOUSE": Symbolizing Elecom's Manufacturing

The original "EGG MOUSE," released by our company in 1988, is characterized by its egg shape. Compared to the square mice common at the time, it was the first in the industry to propose a shape that fit comfortably in the hand. This design had a significant impact on the input device industry and is considered the prototype for the mice that are now mainstream. Since the launch of "EGG MOUSE," our company has continued to make various proposals, achieving the No. 1 domestic sales volume for 26 consecutive years in the mouse category of the "BCN AWARD," which recognizes companies with the top domestic sales in their respective categories (※1).

Elecom celebrated its 40th anniversary in May 2026. Returning to our origins while designing a new mouse for the future, we established the new concept "For a beautiful everyday life" and re-examined our manufacturing approach to align with people's lives.

By shifting the perspective from a mere work tool to an element that adds color to daily life, we have further enhanced the rounded, egg-like shape. This creates an appearance that resembles a natural object, downplaying its nature as a piece of equipment. Its compact size fits comfortably in the palm, making it easy to carry, and its symmetrical design is ambidextrous. It is easy to operate with fingertips, providing comfortable and stress-free use even for detailed tasks.

"Soft Shell" for More Freedom and Enjoyment Through Scene and Mood Changes

A dedicated silicone cover, the "soft shell," is included to fit over the mouse body. The surface has a special finish that is smooth without any unevenness, providing a soft touch. This achieves a cohesive appearance without the feeling of seams. Two soft shells are included, allowing for changes to match the scene. In addition to beingサラサラ (smooth and pleasant to the touch) and washable for hygiene, it also protects the main body from scratches and dirt.

Polished Functionality for Use in Any Scene

All buttons feature a silent design. Clicks are quiet without the typical clicking sound. This allows for use without disturbing others in environments such as during meetings, in living rooms, cafes, or shared offices.

This is a wireless model compatible with Bluetooth(R) connection. It supports multi-pairing via 3-channel Bluetooth, allowing connection to up to 3 devices. As the connection destination can be easily switched with a single switch, it is recommended for those who use multiple devices, such as a PC at home and a tablet outside.

In addition to the left and right buttons and the scroll wheel button, it is equipped with a customizable function button, for a total of 4 buttons.

The function button can be assigned to your preferred functions. The default setting assigns the "back" function, convenient for web browsing. Other functions, such as gesture functions or copy functions, can also be assigned. By using the free downloadable software "Elecom Mouse Assistant," users can assign frequently used functions, thereby improving work efficiency with the mouse.

Equipped with a BlueLED sensor that accurately moves the pointer even in environments with small unevenness or dust, it allows for comfortable operation on desks made of wood, resin, or glass, as well as on notebooks or tablecloths.

A power button is located on the underside of the main body to prevent battery consumption when not in use.

This is a battery-exchangeable mouse powered by AAA batteries.
