Elecom Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President and CEO: Koichi Iwami) will begin accepting reservations for the "M.A.P.P." design mouse reissue model by manga artist Masamune Shirow today, Monday, April 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at the Elecom Direct Shop and official e-commerce sites of major electronics retailers. (THE MECHANICAL DESIGNERS ACCELERATE THE PERIPHERAL PRODUCTS)," which was developed in 2002 featuring manga artist Masamune Shirow and mechanical designer Hajime Katoki. The exterior design, which received acclaim at the time, has not undergone major changes. Masamune Shirow himself has redesigned some areas, such as the newly added side buttons. To ensure long-term usability, materials that are resistant to deterioration during storage have been selected. Furthermore, for this reissue, the model has been updated to Bluetooth(R) wireless connection. It will function as a high-grade office specification tool with high practicality, suitable for everyday use. The package includes an illustration card drawn by Mr. Shirow for each mouse color (illustrations are common, colors vary / typically 3 types in total).
