~A publisher that sells experiences~ Representative Masayo Kamimura supports 'April Dream,' an initiative that aims to make April 1st a day to share dreams. This press release is the dream of Eishisha Co., Ltd.

● Aiming to be an 'original work manufacturer' that handles everything from stage to drama and film adaptations

Eishisha Co., Ltd. is a 'one-person publishing house' led by representative Masayo Kamimura. Having worked as a book writer for 20 years and contributed to over 40 books, she established Eishisha in 2019. To date, Eishisha has published 17 titles.

Meanwhile, she studied as a 69th-term student at the Scenario Writers Association's training course and has been providing scripts for stage plays, musicals, films, dramatic readings, and radio dramas since 2014.

The goal of Eishisha, as a one-person publisher, is to create books that are 'not finished upon publication, but created with media expansion in mind.' This is because we envision a future where we can produce books that serve as the source material for manga, anime, stage plays, and films, handling the entire process of media mixing in-house.

In particular, our company focuses on media expansion for business and practical books, a field that has historically seen little media development.

● Examples of media expansion

● Film: 'I Still Love Paper Books'

Along with media mixing, our company is dedicated to 'conveying the charm of paper books.' This is also an activity to broaden the horizons for readers. Although it has been over 30 years since the publishing industry was labeled a sunset industry, I still 'love paper books.'

To convey the charm of paper media—which I want to share now, in the age of AI—to those who do not read books, I took on the challenge of directing for the first time in 2025 with the short film 'I Still Love Paper Books.'

Commentary by Toshio Tsuchiya, Head of the Short Film Jury (Former Nippon TV Producer)

I share the joy of receiving so many awards in such a short period with the actors and film production staff. At the same time, I accept these awards as a cheer for paper books and for the publishing industry itself.

We will continue to strive to create even more compelling books.
