## Aspiring to be an 'Original Content Manufacturer' that Handles Everything from Stage and Drama Adaptations to Film Adaptations

EICHISHA Co., Ltd. is a 'solo publishing house' led by Masayo Uemura. She has been involved in writing over 40 books as a book writer for 20 years and established EICHISHA in 2019. To date, EICHISHA has published 17 books.

Meanwhile, she studied as a 69th-term student at the Scenario Writers Association's scenario writing course and has provided scripts for stage plays, musicals, films, recitation plays, and radio dramas since 2014.

The book production that this solo publishing house, EICHISHA, aims for is 'book production that doesn't end with publication, but is premised on media development.' This is because we envision a future where we can create books that serve as original works for manga, anime, stage plays, and films, and handle the entire media mix process from start to finish.

In particular, our company is focusing on the media development of business and practical books, which have not seen much media adaptation until now.

## Film "Still, I Love Paper Books"

Along with media mix, our company is also focusing on 'delivering the charm of paper books.' This is also an activity to broaden the readership. The publishing industry has been called a declining industry for over 30 years, but I still 'love paper books.'

To convey the charm of paper media, which I want to share especially now in the AI era, even to those who don't read books, I challenged myself to direct my first short film, "Still, I Love Paper Books," in 2025.
