Our company endorses April Dream, an initiative to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release represents the dream of "Works Kikaku Co., Ltd."

I am currently 62 years old, but I started a personal gym business at 58, despite having no prior operational experience.

One of the reasons I was able to take on such a bold challenge nearing 60 is that both of my parents, who will be 92 this year, are still in good health.

While many of my classmates struggle with elderly care, my parents often help me out in daily life.

Currently, Japan is approaching the peak of its super-aging society, and closing the gap between actual lifespan and healthy lifespan is an urgent task that cannot wait.

On the other hand, incorrect health common sense continues to spread in society, causing various harms.

For example, the problem of insufficient intake of necessary nutrients and lack of exercise due to excessive diet beliefs.

Among women, the risk of osteoporosis is increasing from a young age, and among middle-aged men, the decrease in muscle mass leads to social problems such as metabolic syndrome and lifestyle disease risks.

All of these significantly negatively impact healthy lifespan, and in turn, continue to strain the medical and insurance systems.

To fundamentally solve these problems, it is first necessary to establish a lifestyle where exercise is naturally incorporated into daily routines.

The personal gym "eF-foria" that I manage works day and night to help with this by providing appropriate strength training and accurate health information.

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare also recommends strength training three times a week for about 30 minutes.

Muscle mass decreases daily with age, but by maintaining and increasing muscle mass through training, many lifestyle diseases can be prevented, such as normalization of cholesterol levels, stabilization of blood sugar levels, and increase in capillaries and bone density.

Furthermore, if a menu tailored to an individual's characteristics can be created and made into a habit, strength training can be continued much more easily than people might think.

For example, both of my parents suffered from cancer after the age of 70, but they started strength training in their mid-80s, overcame cancer, and are still able to attend strength training three times a week even now, past 90.

Instead of demanding strict dietary restrictions, we advocate for incorporating appropriate exercise based on scientific knowledge into daily life.

To spread these activities to a wide range of people, institutional support is also necessary.

For example, recognizing preventive medicine for insurance coverage.

By establishing a system that allows access to training gyms at a lower cost using insurance, we can extend healthy lifespans and curb medical and long-term care expenses.

Ultimately, this also leads to preventing the collapse of the insurance system.

My dream is for exercise habits to be recognized not just as a diet, but as a value for preventive medicine, and to be incorporated into the health insurance system.

As a result, everyone can eat what they like, work moderately, and dedicate part of their leisure time to exercise, leading to a healthy and stress-free life forever.

That is the dream I want to realize through managing a gym.
