"Smart Energy Week Spring 2026," one of Asia's leading comprehensive energy exhibitions, attracted over 63,000 visitors and featured approximately 1,500 exhibiting companies, serving as an unparalleled platform for international collaboration. Several dignitaries visited the EU Green Transition Pavilion, reaffirming the importance of its mission. Visitors included the Irish delegation led by Minister of State Seán Canney, Irish Ambassador to Japan Damien Cole, and Ambassador of the European Union to Japan Jean-Eric Paquet. These visits underscored the significance of cooperation between the EU and Japan while further solidifying the EU's role as a trusted partner in Japan's clean energy transition.

During the business mission, the EU Business Hub provided participating companies with tailored support tailored to their needs, including on-site coaching, professional interpretation assistance, and highly effective networking opportunities. Highlights included a dedicated matchmaking event at the Tokyo Innovation Base and a joint networking reception co-hosted with the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation, RX Japan, and JETRO at Tokyo Big Sight. We provide repair solutions for power converters used in solar and wind power generation, and we came to Japan to find partners. We achieved great results during this mission and were truly surprised by the overwhelming interest from many companies wanting to partner with us. It was a tremendous success for our international expansion.

About the EU Business Hub
The EU Business Hub is a business matching initiative led by the Delegation of the European Union to Japan. It promotes the entry of EU companies into the Japanese market and collaboration with Japanese companies, particularly in the fields of digital solutions, green and low-carbon technologies, and healthcare and medical equipment.
