"Japan and me." Painter Ryo Shinagawa × HIBIKA

Ryo Shinagawa's work "Spring"

"Seasonal Confectionery Shop HIBIKA" is a Western-style confectionery brand based on the concept of "Japanese Western-style confectionery."

"Japan and me." is an event held at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store that aims to rediscover the charm of Japan's nature, technology, and culture.

As part of this initiative, we have collaborated with painter Ryo Shinagawa, who has gained support from the next generation by expressing traditional Japanese painting in a modern style, to create cakes that incorporate a new appeal of "expressing art and being inspired by art."

We have translated Mr. Shinagawa's work "Spring," created for "Japan and me.," into two cakes, focusing on their appearance and flavor to allow customers to feel the signs of spring, its softness, and the various textures scattered throughout the work.

These cakes offer a new experience for both those familiar with Mr. Shinagawa's work and fans of HIBIKA.
