■ Project Background and Objectives
In recent years, with the intensifying climate crisis, there is a demand to shift from conventional disaster prevention focused on "restoration" to "future co-existence type disaster prevention," which considers activities to protect the global environment as disaster prevention itself. When electricity stops during a disaster, not only are means of gathering information lost, but also the luxury of listening to music that soothes the soul. This project aims to create a community that protects the "mental infrastructure" where music and information are not interrupted even during disasters, by popularizing "My Own Power Plant," which generates small amounts of energy from sunlight.
■ What is "My Own Power Plant"?
"My Own Power Plant" is a small-scale solar power generation system for individuals and facilities that can be assembled like DIY.
Features: It is composed of general materials (panels, batteries, controllers, etc.) and can be constructed at low cost and affordably.
Role: In addition to securing power for smartphone charging and LED lights during power outages, it is also utilized as an educational material for environmental education (SDGs education) through the experience of children making electricity themselves.
■ Crowdfunding Overview
This project is set with a target amount of 450,000 yen, in commemoration of Takako Shirai's 45th debut anniversary.

■ Message from Takako Shirai
I remember smiling when I made beachcombing works using sea debris and shells with a glue gun, using electricity from solar power, feeling like I had finally reached the "starting point of my ideal lifestyle." But then came the hard part! (laughs) The solar panel at that time was about 60 centimeters in height, width, and depth, but it must have weighed about 60 kilograms (laughs). It was incredibly heavy, and I desperately carried it into the trailer house I had just bought with the help of my guitarist partner, Honchi, saying "Se-no!" At the same time, I vividly remember giving up easily, saying, "This weight is impossible for me!" (laughs).
Four years have passed since I reunited with Mr. Kamioka, but the real trials have been faster and harsher than forming something, with unbelievable wars and the Noto earthquake occurring. Recently, electricity prices and commodity prices have risen due to the struggle for oil caused by war, and our lives are beginning to be directly affected in visible ways.
It is said that electricity first lit up in Japan at the Rokumeikan in 1887, but in just about 150 years since then, it has become painfully clear how much our daily lives have become "deeply dependent on oil." But that doesn't mean I can immediately go into the mountains and say, "From today, I won't use electricity anymore!" I really want to say that, but it's realistically impossible, so I can only make "modest resistance" every day, such as saving electricity as much as possible, looking for sale wagons first to reduce food waste at supermarkets, and giving the water from washing rice to plants because a large amount of oil is needed to purify water. In this state of mind, I think this "My Own Power Plant" initiative is a wonderful movement "to alleviate our oil-dependent life even a little." Anyway, I'm incredibly happy that the solar panel has become lighter! Please, everyone, agree with the movement of "My Own Power Plant" to reconfirm that we are facing such an era, if not "turning a crisis into an opportunity!" I have also been able to achieve "energy self-sufficiency" for many years.
