Yutaka Kamioka, Director of NPO Ecology Online, will be speaking at the talk live event "The Story of Recovery: Care for Accepting the Downward Slope Alongside Music and Art," to be held on Sunday, May 10, 2026, in Kokubunji City, Tokyo.

This event is part of "Kokufes Music Days 2026" and aims to be a place where individuals, healthcare professionals, and local residents can together consider "hints for care" that support daily fluctuations and difficulties in life, through music and art.

■ Background: From Losing Speech to Coexisting with AI and Music

Yutaka Kamioka, who has promoted SDGs and environmental activities as the director of Ecology Online, experienced aphasia, losing the ability to speak for a time, due to a stroke in early 2024. However, he made an extraordinary return to work by utilizing music and AI (Artificial Intelligence).

He is currently involved in "user-led research" at the University of Tokyo, gaining a new perspective from his own disability, and is developing unique activities that integrate disaster prevention and support for people with disabilities. This live event will share Kamioka's own "story of recovery" and communicate the possibilities of a society opened up by coexistence with AI.

Sharing the "Story of Recovery": He will discuss care from multiple perspectives alongside Dr. Motoharu Fukushi, director of Musashi Kokubunji Park Clinic, who incorporates music and art into home visits, and Kenichi Muraoka, who conducts "Portrait Therapy" in medical facilities.

Care You Can Feel with Your Senses: The event will feature live painting by Mr. Muraoka and musical performances by pianist Yukiuko Tanaka and opera singer Kanto Moritake, creating an interaction that transcends words.
