Yutaka Kamioka, Chairman of the NPO Ecology Online, will speak at a talk live event titled "A Story of Recovery with Music and Art: Care that Accepts the Downhill Path," to be held in Kokubunji, Tokyo, on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

This event is held as part of "Koku Fes Music Days 2026" and aims to provide a space where affected individuals, medical professionals, and local residents can jointly explore "hints for care" that support daily fluctuations and life challenges through music and art.

■ Background: From the experience of losing words to coexistence with AI and music

Yutaka Kamioka, who has promoted SDGs and environmental activities as Chairman of Ecology Online, experienced "aphasia"—a condition where he temporarily lost his ability to speak—following a stroke in early 2024. However, he achieved a remarkable return to work by utilizing music and AI (Artificial Intelligence).

Currently, he is involved in "User Research" at the University of Tokyo. Gaining a new perspective through his own disability, he develops unique activities that integrate disaster prevention and support for the disabled. In this talk, Kamioka will share his own "story of recovery" and communicate the social possibilities opened up by coexistence with AI.

■ Event Highlights

Sharing the "Story of Recovery": Care will be discussed from multiple perspectives alongside Dr. Motoharu Fukushi, Director of Musashi Kokubunji Park Clinic, who incorporates music and art into home visit medical care, and Kenichi Muraoka, who develops "Portrait Therapy" in medical facilities.

Care Felt through the Five Senses: The event will feature live painting by Mr. Muraoka and musical performances by pianist Yukiko Tanaka and opera singer Kanito Moritake, creating an exchange that transcends words.

A Place for Equal Listening: An "exchange session" will also be held where medical professionals, local residents, and affected individuals can exchange opinions regardless of their positions.
