Established in 1986, LIFE celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. However, in the past few years, donations have dropped sharply, and the number of members has decreased significantly. Due to a lack of funds, it has become difficult to support the lives of the people on Sumba Island as we have in the past. To continue our support, we need more people to know about our activities and provide assistance. Therefore, we launched this crowdfunding campaign for both public relations and fundraising.
In this campaign, we aim to raise funds to ensure that our support in Sumba Island—where we have worked on poverty and environmental issues for many years—does not stop until the day comes when the residents no longer need external assistance.
