Our company endorses April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release is the dream of Arcs LLC.
Arcs LLC (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; Representative: Haruka Yokohama; hereinafter 'Arcs') aims to train 1,000 administrative professionals who can master AI through its AI-powered back-office support service, 'AI Jimubu' (AI Admin Department).
■ Our Dream: To Nurture AI-Savvy Administrative Professionals
To create a society where people with administrative experience can thrive confidently as 'AI-savvy administrative professionals,' regardless of location, age, or past career. As a first step, Arcs will train 1,000 'AI-savvy administrative professionals.'
If 1,000 AI-capable administrative professionals are born, the small and medium-sized business owners they support will be able to concentrate more on their core business. The administrative professionals themselves will also be able to work more freely, untethered by location or time. We are seriously envisioning such a future.
■ Why This Dream?: The 'Way' and 'Role' of Work are Changing
With the expanding adoption of AI, job openings for administrative positions are on a downward trend. According to the latest survey by the Japan Association of Job Information (for January 2026), the number of job advertisements for administrative positions recorded the largest decrease among all job types, at 47.6% down year-on-year.
On the other hand, it is estimated that there will be a shortage of up to approximately 790,000 IT professionals to handle DX and AI by 2030 (METI estimate), and over 80% of companies feel a shortage of IT talent (IPA survey).
In other words, while there is a severe shortage of AI-capable talent, there is a surplus of conventional administrative talent. This 'skill mismatch' is the biggest challenge surrounding administrative jobs.
However, administrative work is not disappearing. What is changing is the required 'role.' On-site rules, human relationships, workflow. These judgments cannot be made by AI alone.
This very sense becomes the foundation for judging 'where and how' to use AI. By adding AI skills to administrative experience, administrative professionals can evolve further. Arcs is convinced of this.
■ Initiatives to Realize the Dream: Support Born from On-the-Ground Knowledge
Arcs has been supporting the back-office operations of small and medium-sized enterprises through its online administrative support service. Against the backdrop of the 'on-site challenges' realized through the representative's over 20 years of accounting and administrative experience, we are now developing the 'AI Jimubu' service, an AI-powered back-office support business.
The AI Jimubu business consists of online administrative support, business process improvement consulting, and AI implementation support for SMEs, as well as courses for administrative professionals.
At its core is the 'Admin x AI Skill Up Program,' which equips experienced administrative staff with the ability to utilize AI in their practical work. In this two-month practical course, they learn to handle daily tasks such as email correspondence, document creation, and data organization using ChatGPT and Google Apps Script.
