CM Highlights

Continuing from last year, Masahiro Motoki and Ayami Nakajo have appeared to express our company's desire to provide auto insurance that meets the needs of many customers by balancing not only "peace of mind in case of an accident" but also "ease of procedures" and "low prices*1".

In addition, we plan to roll out commercials that specifically convey the features of our auto insurance, such as 24/7 accident reception, and commercials that depict the security of the Tokio Marine Group along with the convenience and low prices*1 unique to online auto insurance, with a touch of surprise. Please take a look.

Interviews

Q. This is your second shoot, the first in a year. Please share your thoughts on the new CM shoot and your impressions of Motoki-san/Nakajo-san, whom you met again after some time.

Motoki-san:

This time, while leveraging Tokio Marine Direct's reliability, the content focuses more on appealing about auto insurance with a sense of familiarity. The director has been involved with me since my 20s, so I believe the sense of unity on set and the relaxed atmosphere have been well utilized in the tone of this work. I met Nakajo-san again after a long time, and while she has become more composed, she remains as radiant as ever, and I found her smile truly charming.

Nakajo-san:

The previous CM was broadcast extensively on television, and it received such a great response that people affectionately called me "the Tokio Marine Direct person." This time, the words "simple, cheap, and secure" are repeated, making it easy to understand even for those choosing insurance for the first time, and I believe it's a CM that allows people to choose with confidence. Motoki-san is as slender as ever, and his words carry a sense of conviction and the weight of his accumulated experience. I hope to become a dignified 60-year-old like Motoki-san, able to carefully craft my words.

Q. You declare, "Tokio Marine Direct will change the norm for auto insurance." Are there any norms in your own life that have recently changed?

Motoki-san:

I'm generally a homebody with few social engagements, but as I approach my 60th birthday, I've decided to be reborn and have started attending galleries and dinner parties a little. This naturally leads to new encounters and expands my social circle. When I step slightly outside my usual comfort zone and engage with the world, my inner self gets organized, and new goals and hopes emerge. I've realized anew that people evolve through the influence of others. I'm enjoying my current situation, having slightly adjusted my introverted self.

Nakajo-san:

Until now, I was the type who didn't take many risks, finding comfort in going to the same places and spending time with the same people. However, perhaps because I'm approaching 30, I have a strong desire to try new things, like going out for meals or taking trips with people I haven't spoken to before. I never expected to enter a phase of "challenge" from "comfort" at this point, so I'm surprised by myself.

Q. There's a scene where you depart by car saying "Ittekimasu." Could you tell us about a memorable place you've recently visited by car, or a place you'd like to visit this summer?

Motoki-san:

There's a wonderful hotel where I stayed while filming a movie in Kyoto last year, and they are planning to open a new hotel in Hakone within that group. I've heard rumors that each room has its own hot spring, and I'd like to take a drive there. I'm not a very good driver, but spending time in nature while feeling the seasons is healing and resets me, so I want to go out more actively.

Nakajo-san:

Ise Jingu. It was my first time in Ise, but I rented a car and drove around the area, ate delicious food, and went to the sea, enjoying the summer. I had never been to Ise Jingu even on a school trip, so I wanted to go there as a milestone for turning 30. I was able to drive myself around various places like Okage Yokocho, fulfilling something I wanted to do last year.
