DyDo DRINCO, Inc. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Takanori Nakajima; hereinafter "DyDo DRINCO") announces that, as part of its "Minna no LOVE the EARTH PROJECT" (hereinafter "the Project"), which promotes environmental initiatives in its domestic beverage business, it will begin a phased transition to 100% renewable energy*1 at the sales offices of its subsidiary, DyDo Asahi Vending, Inc. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Akio Terauchi; hereinafter "DyDo Asahi Vending"). This energy will be supplied through the renewable energy retail service "Minna Denryoku," provided by UPDATER, Inc. (Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; President: Eiji Oishi; hereinafter "UPDATER").

DyDo DRINCO has identified "contribution to a decarbonized and circular society" as one of its materialities and has established key goals in the environmental field. The Project is being deployed to spread and promote initiatives aimed at achieving these goals.

Through the Project, we are collaborating with various stakeholders to realize a decarbonized and circular society. We have been implementing business operations aimed at reducing environmental impact in stages, such as introducing hybrid vehicles and fuel cell (FC) trucks—which achieve zero CO2 emissions while driving—for route staff responsible for vending machine replenishment and maintenance.

We will now sequentially switch 50 of DyDo Asahi Vending's 96 sales offices nationwide to 100% renewable energy. This is expected to reduce CO2 emissions associated with electricity usage at these offices, which manage approximately 50% of all DyDo DRINCO vending machines nationwide. This serves as a significant step toward our 2030 goal of achieving carbon neutrality in our domestic beverage business.

DyDo DRINCO has built its business primarily around vending machines and has valued the philosophy of coexistence and mutual prosperity with local communities since its founding. "Minna Denryoku" procures electricity from over 1,100 power plants nationwide and uses proprietary blockchain technology to allow users to specify the power plants from which they purchase electricity. This enables "local production for local consumption," where electricity for each sales office is sourced as much as possible from power plants within the same area, aligning with DyDo DRINCO's philosophy of "coexistence and mutual prosperity." Furthermore, when a power plant is specified, a portion of the electricity bill goes directly to that plant; depending on the amount of electricity used, 0.3 yen/kWh is returned to the specified power plant in the same area through UPDATER*2. DyDo DRINCO resonates with this concept and has decided to utilize "Minna Denryoku." Through this mechanism, we hope to support the spread of renewable energy in each region.

Moving forward, the DyDo Group will continue to promote environmental contributions through its business, as well as environmental initiatives expected of us as a corporate citizen, by encouraging the voluntary actions of each employee and fostering partnerships with various stakeholders who share our vision. Through these efforts, we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society as envisioned by the SDGs.

*1 We supply 100% renewable energy by combining electricity derived from renewable sources with the environmental value of non-fossil fuel certificates designated for renewable energy (resulting in zero CO2 emissions).

*2 UPDATER refers to this mechanism as the "Contract Premium." When corporate customers specify a power plant for electricity procurement, they pay a "Contract Premium" added to the purchase price to the specified power generation operator, based on the amount of power generated linked to the customer's electricity usage. Note that the customer's electricity rates do not increase or decrease based on whether or not a power plant is specified.

[Overview of this Initiative] Implementation Period: Sequentially from late February 2026 Target Locations: 50 DyDo Asahi Vending sales offices Details: Utilization of renewable energy supplied through the "Minna Denryoku" service provided by UPDATER Expected Effects: Reduction of Scope 3*3 emissions in the domestic beverage business of DyDo DRINCO and DyDo Asahi Vending by approximately 900 t-CO2*4 (compared to FY2024) *3 CO2 emissions derived from electricity used by each business site and sales office. *4 Calculated based on usage records from April 2024 to March 2025.
