DXHR Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Kazunari Maeda, hereinafter "DXHR") held the "AI-Driven Development Study Session & Networking" for engineers on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at our coworking space "NeuroHub."
This event was hosted by Kazunari Ito (X account: @MacopeninSUTABA), COO of Third Scope Inc. and a well-known technical influencer, with DXHR providing the venue.
As AI transforms from a mere tool into a "collaborative partner," participants with diverse backgrounds including engineers, executives, and consultants gathered, making it a passionate evening. The following is a report on the day's events.
■ Background of the Event
As AI-driven development transitions into a "standard" phase, engineers and business professionals are strongly required to move beyond merely mastering tools towards "coexistence with AI" and "new value creation (FDE)."
At the beginning of the event, the host, Mr. Kazunari, COO of Third Scope Inc., explained the significance of the event, stating, "Precisely because we are in an era where information gathering itself can be done easily, the value of real human-to-human connections is increasing more than ever."
The event kicked off with the following three objectives:
Expanding horizontal connections: Building a network to gain "primary information" that is not available on the internet and can only be obtained on the spot.
Learning from experts: Absorbing the latest trends from top runners active on the front lines.
Creating business opportunities: Creating triggers for ordering/receiving projects and collaboration through interaction among participants.
■ Host Profile
Mr. Kazunari Ito, Director & COO, Third Scope Inc.
A top influencer in the tech domain boasting over 100,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter). In addition to serving as an external CTO for two companies and a non-executive advisor for listed companies, he contributes to the development of the engineer community in multifaceted ways, such as being selected as a "Qiita 2024 TOP Contributor" and operating the "Listed Companies Club."
■ LT Sessions & Panel Discussion
Practical know-how regarding raw trial and error on the front lines and survival strategies for 2026 onwards were shared by four speakers fully utilizing AI on the front lines.
1. The Story of How a Company Started Running Well After a Solo-preneur Hired "AI Employees" (Speaker: Mr. Kuroyama)
Mr. Kuroyama, who develops an AI advisory service for SMEs, introduced an example of identifying his company's tasks and compressing the area he handles to only 8 out of 100 tasks (8%). He talked about the reality of "AI team management" running the company through zero-to-one system building with Claude Code (43%) and operations using multiple open models (49%). He excited the audience with real behind-the-scenes stories unique to a practitioner, such as the episode of buying too many Mac minis for a local environment setup and being suspected of being a reseller, and the challenge of API costs reaching 200,000 yen a month.
2. Implementation and Operation of AI in Enterprise Systems (Speaker: Mr. Okamoto)
As a case study of implementation in an enterprise environment covering 8 group companies, the method of building a process where "AI executes, and humans supervise" was explained to avoid the risks of full automation. Specific initiatives were introduced, such as the method of managing actions by having AI read "user stories," and the internal introduction of "AI avatars" as interview practice partners for Gen Z, leading to reduced training costs and operational improvements.
3. An "AI Partner for Dementia Care" Made with LLM x Voice AI x Stuffed Animal (Speaker: Mr. Sakata)
Mr. Sakata, who started an AI startup despite being a non-engineer, presented on the "AI partner for dementia care" born from his experience caring for his grandmother. Instead of a smart device, a "stuffed animal" that gets close to the patient's heart was adopted as the interface, and a hybrid system of personal information and care theory using an LLM was implemented inside. Dramatic results achieved precisely because it is an AI with infinite patience, such as midnight wandering and phone calls dropping to zero, were reported.
4. The Limits of Metrics-Driven Development and AI Control by "Story" (Speaker: Mr. Sato)
Mr. Sato, who serves as a board member of the Business AI Promotion Organization and simultaneously manages 16 AI projects, revealed the secret behind his phenomenal productivity. Because the "spec-driven development" method of giving massive specifications to AI invites context collapse, he advocated a method of compressing and conveying context using a narrative framework of "Worldline (Premise) -> Story -> Event." He thoroughly implements the procedure of "Architecture formulation -> Spec creation -> Code generation and automated testing," and humans only verify the operation.
