◆ Sustainable craft gin YORI 'OKAZAKI' in collaboration with androp
'OKAZAKI' is a gin created in collaboration with Takuya Sato of the popular rock band androp. It upcycles special products from his hometown of Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, and valuable materials that would otherwise have been discarded.
During the material selection process, Mr. Sato and the YORI project team visited the Okazaki City Hall and local businesses. Materials were selected while listening to the real voices of the local people.
The main botanicals utilize red and white grapes, which are specialty products of Okazaki City. To this, they blended upcycled materials such as 'lid miso' (miso not commercialized) of the traditional Haccho miso industry, and offcuts of 'shimenawa' (sacred ropes). Furthermore, the taste was balanced with local specialties like 'honey' and 'purple wheat', resulting in a fruity yet rich flavor.

From Okazaki, to you.
Okazaki City, the birthplace of Lord Tokugawa Ieyasu in the heart of Aichi Prefecture, developed as a castle town. Featuring highly fragrant red and white grapes used for wine as the main cast, we added traditional Haccho miso and honey for a deep flavor. By blending purple wheat and shimenawa, we finished it with a fruity and rich taste. Please enjoy this new deliciousness made by twisting together the blessings of the region.
