DreamArts Inc. (Tokyo Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Hiroshima Headquarters: Hiroshima-shi, Hiroshima; Representative Director and President: Takaaki Yamamoto), a cloud service provider for large enterprises, is pleased to announce that National University Corporation University of Tsukuba (Headquarters: Tsukuba-shi, Ibaraki; President: Kyosuke Nagata; hereinafter, University of Tsukuba) has adopted and commenced operation of "SmartDB(R)" (SmartDB), a cloud for enterprise business digitalization.

The University of Tsukuba adopted SmartDB as its campus-wide DX platform and began phased utilization in March 2026. Going forward, the university aims to expand its use to approximately 20,000 people, including students, across the entire campus, promoting the digitalization of university-wide business processes.

## Establishing a DX Platform for Realizing a Next-Generation University

The University of Tsukuba has set forth the goal of constructing a next-generation university, premised on a digital society, in its "Tsukuba University Vision 2030." To achieve this, it is reviewing and digitalizing business processes in university management, centered on the "Information Management Office," which is responsible for university-wide DX and IR (Institutional Research).

As part of these efforts, SmartDB, a no-code development platform, was introduced to establish an environment where diverse university operations can be managed and shared on a digital platform.

With the introduction of this platform, the development of a foundation for handling various university operations digitally is progressing, and the review of business processes and the promotion of digitalization are expected. Moving forward, while utilizing this platform, the university plans to progressively advance the efficiency and digitalization of university-wide operations, and promote DX for the realization of a next-generation university.

## Utilization of SmartDB

A document management system that manages the lifecycle of documents was built on SmartDB(R) and began operation for some staff members in March 2026. This system enables integrated management of business processes such as document registration, circulation, approval, and storage on a digital platform.

This is expected to lead to improved efficiency in document management operations and increased visibility of business processes.

## Phased Campus-Wide Deployment

The University of Tsukuba plans to expand the scope of use through phased introduction. From June 2026, it aims for approximately 2,500 administrative staff, with a future outlook towards expanding to about 18,000 faculty and students, ultimately targeting utilization as a campus-wide DX platform for approximately 20,000 people across the entire university.

DreamArts will continue to uphold the philosophy of "co-creation" and provide total solutions that contribute to "strengthening on-site capabilities" and "improving corporate competitiveness."
