Industry First: Providing Highly Reliable Primary Data for Scope 3 (Category 5/Waste Treatment)

DOWA Ecosystem Co., Ltd. will begin offering a Carbon Footprint (CFP) reporting service in June 2026 for clients outsourcing waste treatment to the group. This service calculates and reports GHG emissions for each client based on actual treatment process data. DOWA Ecosystem developed this unique system and received third-party validation on March 18, 2026. This is the first service in the Japanese waste treatment industry to provide client-specific CFP reporting using a third-party validated system. The service initially covers waste treatment at Ecosystem Chiba, with plans to expand to other facilities in Akita and Okayama prefectures.
